Who We Are

Snuggle Star is a personalized bedtime story service operated by Jake Rheingold. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at hello@snugglestar.app.

Who Our Service Is For

Snuggle Star is designed exclusively for parents and legal guardians. Our service is not directed at children. Parents use Snuggle Star to generate personalized stories for their children — children do not directly interact with the app.

What Information We Collect

From parents: your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details on our servers).

From parents about their child: your child's first name, date of birth, gender, and selected interests/themes.

We also collect standard technical data such as IP addresses and session identifiers for security and operational purposes.

How We Use Your Information

Child profile information (name, date of birth, gender, themes) is used solely to generate personalized bedtime stories. This information is shared with Anthropic (story generation) and fal.ai (illustration generation) as integral parts of delivering the service.

Child information is never used for advertising, marketing profiling, or AI model training.

Parent contact information is used to deliver stories via email and manage your subscription.

Third Parties We Work With

We work with trusted third-party services to deliver Snuggle Star. Each is contractually limited to using data only for the purpose of providing their service:

  • Anthropic — AI-powered story text generation
  • fal.ai — watercolor illustration generation
  • Stripe — secure payment processing
  • Resend — email delivery
  • Supabase — secure data storage and authentication

We will never sell your data to third parties. Period.

COPPA Compliance (Children's Privacy)

Snuggle Star complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as enforced by the Federal Trade Commission.

  • Snuggle Star is a service directed at parents and legal guardians, not at children.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
  • All child information in our system is provided by and collected from the child's parent or legal guardian.
  • Parents provide explicit consent at signup for their child's information to be used for story personalization.
  • Parents may review, update, or delete their child's information at any time from the Profile page in the dashboard.
  • To request deletion of all data associated with your account and your child, contact hello@snugglestar.app and we will process the request within 30 days.
  • We do not share child information with third parties for advertising purposes.
  • We do not use child information to train AI models.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal information including your child's profile and story history is permanently deleted within 30 days. You may request deletion at any time by contacting hello@snugglestar.app.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any information we hold about you or your child at any time. Contact hello@snugglestar.app for any privacy requests.

Changes to This Policy

We will notify you by email if we make material changes to this privacy policy.
